The technological requirements of extrusion press technology, and the quality and productivity of modern extrusion presses have altered substantially in recent years. If 10 years ago there was still almost no automated temperature control in extrusion presses, the necessity of interaction between billet temperature, process speed of the press itself, temperature profile control of the container, and isothermic extrusion press behaviour in the exit from the die have been recognised as basic necessities, and consistently further developed. |
