Marx GmbH & Co. KG
The existing company Marx GmbH & Co KG, Iserlohn, was founded on 1st October 1962, by Erich Marx, 67 years old at that time, and was located at An der Langen Hecke.
At that time, the Erich Marx company dealt with motor repairs, transformer conversion and inductor repairs. On 1st July 1967 Wolfgang Eckenbach, today General Manager, joined the company as an attorney. The product range had not changed up to that point.
When Mr Eckenbach joined the company, the number of employees rose from 3 to 4. In 1972 the founder of the Marx company, Erich Marx, retired. In the course of the years the Marx repair company developed, to become a supplier of plant components for melting and heating plant.
In the mid-Seventies the changing requirements of the market made it necessary to change the profile of Marx to cope with the challenge of supplying integral plant. Today's works located in Lilienthalstraße, were built in the Seventies. In November 1987 they also moved into the new administration building.
Today approx. 100 persons are employed in all three companies.
